Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting was held in the parish hall after worship on January 26th. A summary of our 2019 ministries was presented, and two new vestry members, Mike Horton and Marvin O'Connor were elected to a 3-year term to replace Paul Lasiter and Bil Shehee who rotated off. Gloria Crenshaw and Tina Wage were elected as Diocesan Convention Delegates and Linda Shehee and Sunny Lasiter as alternates. The parish budget was presented.
Thanks to Karen Melton for baking this year’s Epiphany Cake filled with surprises. Winner of said Epiphany Cake Prizes included:
BEAN (Queen of the Party) - Marvin O'Connor
DIME (increased wealth) - Taylor Golden
CROSS (blessings of the Church) - Gail Beaupre'

Food for the Poor

​We welcomed the Rev. Holly Ostlund, an Episcopal priest, to worship with us on Sunday, January 19. She preached at the Eucharist and showed a brief video at TEACH afterwards After which she answered multiple questions we had concerning the program. She speaks for the Third World destitute served by Food for the Poor, an interdenominational ministry providing food, clothing, medical care, housing, school supplies and economic development programs in the Caribbean and Latin America.
